Our Sponsorship
Lincoln Beevor Bands
We first contacted the co-op back in 2007 with a view for sponsorship for the Beevor Band. We attended a meeting with Rosie Johns and her staff and negotiated a three year deal worth £6,000 of sponsorship over a three year period. £2000.00 per year.
The presentation of the first cheque took place in our October concert at the lawn in 2008, where we entertained the managing director of the co-op at the concert and his staff. We also within the terms of sponsorship agreed to carry out certain concert bookings for the co-op free of charge for their many fund raising events for the local community. We as a band, being a registered charity, are very enthusiastic at being involved with the Lincolnshire co-op as both organisations are keen to help those within the community. Us as a band offer free coaching on a Sunday Morning to anyone wishing to learn to play a Brass instrument, we hope and endeavour to help those beginners to progress into our junior band and with natural progression into the senior band and help those attain a purpose of belonging to an organisation to forge friendship and a sense of helping others. Our home is at the Lincoln City Football Ground and our practice room is under the co-op stand which works well and gives a further link to the co-op, the Football Club have also been very supportive of the band and they themselves donated £1250.00 of their charity shield money in 2008 for the band, as well as giving us a reduced rate hire of facilities, which in return we perform concerts for the football club free of charge. As a band organisation, we feel very proud that the co-op has looked at our organisation and found us worthy of sponsorship for the work that we do for both young and old within the community and we hope and look forward to a long working partnership with the co-op organisation.
