The Lincoln Beevor Youth Band and Lincoln Beevor Band

Welcome to the website for the Lincoln Beevor Bands

The Lincoln Beevor Bands were set up with the aim of giving the people of Lincoln the opportunity to learn to play a brass instrument at minimal cost. We target mainly young children and support youth music within the community. Those who wish to learn are offered free loan of an instrument and free tuition on a Sunday morning. Once a level of ability is achieved, they are then offered a place in the Beevor Youth Band and will eventually progress to the Beevor Band. We are known collectively as The Lincoln Beevor Band Organisation, compromising of the Lincoln Beevor Band and the Beevor Youth Band.

Both bands play under the direction of their Musical Director, Jane Ellis. The beginners class is trained by Jane with the help of the members of the Beevor Band and the Committee which includes our fundraiser’ on whom the organisation is greatly dependant. Everyone connected with our organisation give us their time voluntary, including the Musical Director.
