Welcome to the website for the Lincoln Beevor Bands. The Lincoln Beevor Bands were set up with the aim of giving the people of Lincoln the opportunity to learn to play a Brass instrument at minimal cost. We target mainly young people and support youth music within the community. Those who wish to learn are offered a free loan instrument and free tuition on a Sunday morning. Those who make the grade are then offered a place in the Beevor Youth Band and eventually will progress to the Beevor Band.
We are a voluntary organisation dedicated to the teaching of music to children within a Brass Band environment for little or no charge. The object of the bands is to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects, by the presentation of public concerts and recitals.
Anyone interested in playing in a brass band are invited to either visit us at our band room at the Silver Sounds Social Club located at Bracebridge Heath on a Sunday morning or contact our Musical Director Miss Jane Parker on Lincoln 539183. Beginners class is held between 10 & 11 a.m. on Sunday Morning.
